I feel a ROOF coming on!

As promised I wanted to show everyone the roof (sorry for the Tag-Team reference in the title, showing my age I guess, lol). This is actually the first real look at our MOC. Don't get to excited though, the only thing real impressive is the size.
That's one big roof. I used Riley's and my SigFig. so you can have a scale on how big it is.

Definitely need a few more grey parts.

Pretty sturdy so far.

Another Brick Link order... Roof Parts!!!

I scream Roof Parts, because once you are working on a roof you know you are close to being done! Since this is a bigger MOC, this period will take a bit longer. I am really hopeful to make the end of the year deadline. It will be close though! Here are some pictures of the order.
Tile bag breakage, seems to be a common occurrence.

Here is the bulk of the roof, I will show you how big the roof is, either tomorrow or the next day.

I'm actually going to attempt to cut this piece, so that it will fit in my MOC.

More Custom Tiles!

This time straight from Paris. They had this tile at the last online store , but it was in a 2x4, opposed to a 2x2. Looks great!!!!!! Fast shipping, you can visit the website here.
Got to keep the Mini Figures safe!

Our Custom Tiles Have Arrived!!!!

One thing I am going to use in my next MOC is custom tiles. Today we got our order from a site called MINIFIGS.ME. The first thing when you see when you go to there website is a warning about slow shipping time due to the holidays. However our order was shipped quickly, even for being from overseas. I would rate their shipping an A. From what I have seen there are only a few good custom LEGO websites, that use "pad printing" which is a very good way to make custom tiles. They are expensive, but when you want to make something that stands out, this is the way to go. Have a look.....
I have been looking at their website for a while, it was nice to see them in front of me.

Ok so the babies and sonogram are not part of our new MOC, everything else is though.

Any day you get LEGO is a good day! The letter was cute!

Finished the Falcon

We finished the Millennium Falcon last week I was just a little to busy to Blog about it. I should be blogging all this week. As we received a Brick Link order, plus one of our custom orders that looks real cool! Here is the pictures of the finished Falcon. Hopefully we will soon do a video review of this awesome ship!
All these pictures are without the Mini Figures. Because Riley was playing with them.

In the video we will go into more detail of the control panels.

Building the Falcon. Part 1

We have finally started to build the Millennium Falcon, which might be the biggest set I have ever built. It is defiantly Riley's biggest set so far. Shouldn't take us too long to build though. Although we haven't made much progress today, Riley really wanted just to get the Mini Figures out, lol!
So many parts!

Instructions so big it needs cardboard.

Riley has her Ninjago shirt on.

Riley's Second Birthday Build...Sunshine Ranch

Building playing and repeat! We have been having a lot of fun lately, building and playing. Since we are still working on the Millennium Falcon we can't share that yet. We knew it was going to take some time so we decided to build the Sunshine Ranch(41039) first. We did a video, but not to sure if or when that will be released. Here are some pictures...

Happy Birthday to me....

I took the day off from blogging yesterday, which was my birthday.  I spent most of the day with Riley, building the Millennium Falcon. We also finished the Sunshine Ranch yesterday. LEGO LEGO LEGO!!! We have had a great birthday week!! Next stop December, which now that we have all three advent calenders, it will be a lot of fun, plus Christmas. PLUS December is when we will be releasing our next MOC. STAY TUNED!!!
I had originally asked for the Star War advent calender, but one of Riley's cool uncle baught it fot her birthday.
So MaMa bought me the only one we didn't have. Thanks MaMa!

Happy Birthday Riley!!!!!

Today is Riley's birthday and we have spent all day celebrating! Mostly playing the LEGO Star Wars video game. It was funny though when Riley was opening her Sunshine Ranch she thought it was LEGO, but it seemed a little like she wanted LEGO Star Wars over LEGO Friends. But, she was very happy with all her gifts. Here are the ones related to LEGO...

All these were on Riley's wish list, well maybe not the book, but she has asked for Emperor Palpatine.

Our first Birthday build!!

We chose to build The Phantom from Star Wars Rebels. This is an awesome set because it comes with the star of the show Ezra. Plus the new or shall I say old C1 unit "Chopper". The build was pretty easy, Riley loves the new minifigs! I'm also impressed with the missiles, they shoot rather far. Here are some pics....

The Phantom

In flight.

Choppers seat.

He must have asked for a window seat.

Riley's Big Birthday Blowout!!!!

It was Riley's birthday party this weekend. Her party is different than her actual birthday, but of course we wanted to do it on a weekend. The better news is that she still has presents from MaMa and DaDa on her actual birthday. She got a lot of cool presents, but we will only share the LEGO ones, since this is a LEGO blog. Thanks to everyone who was at the party!!

Riley birthday LEGO haul!

Yes that is the Millenium Falcon, all of Riley's uncles spoiled her, but we don't mind!

Riley with posing with her haul!!!!
We are going to make videos for the Advent calenders. Also look for review videos!!!

More Parts. Part 5...used parts.

I don't really like to do it. Buy when you are buying a lot of LEGO in a small time period some times you have to buy used parts to lower the budget. Luckily these parts look barely used!

In this color this part is a little rare, but I need them for my bathrooms.

Picked up some other use parts.

For the second tow motor I'm trying to make.

Yes this will be used as piping.

More Parts. Part 4..Good Friend and Great Service!

When I first started getting back into LEGO, it was a little bit overwhelming, so much has changed. The last time I built LEGO the only way to get extra parts was to order off the back of a catalog. You could get used stuff at garage sales(still can). When I was younger I would have never dreamed of Brick Link, how you could buy any part in any color, NEW. It still blows my mind a little. So excited about everything! Brick Link, YouTube and Blogging. Not only watching others, but of course I wanted to be a participant. Luckily I ordered from Need a brick or 2. Even better there was a small mistake on my order. So of course I contacted the store owner, Eric. He was so helpful and kind. So much so, that I thought of asking him how selling on Brick Link works. He was very helpful and a great ambassador  for Brick Link. Shortly after I opened my own store. We have become friends, so of course every time I'm building a MOC or buying parts, I try to stop buy and see Eric, not really because we are friends, but because of how fast he ships his parts. I really like having my parts shipped fast. It allows me to order parts faster when I receive parts faster. If you order to many orders sometimes you will start losing track and order multiplies of the same thing. That will throw off budget and have you spend more money than you need to. So if you want some great service head over to Need a brick or 2.
Mostly small parts, to replace parts that are the wrong color.

Thanks again Eric!

Riley really wanted to take a picture.

More Parts. Part 3..Rare Parts!!!!

Once again we are trying to get this MOC done ASAP. That means a lot of LEGO orders. Here is another one, plus I made two more last night. I really have to order those custom parts soon to make sure I get them on time. By on time I mean at the same time as I finish the MOC. Received some really cool parts yesterday, here they are...

Some good parts!
Very rare parts, your looking at $5 in LEGO. But this kind of necessary for our MOC.

Pink is a weird color with all those dark blueish grey parts.

$20 to anyone who can figure out what is spells, BEFORE we release our MOC.

This won't be the last light blueish grey tiles you'll see.

More parts! Part 2...

Closer and closer we get to the end of our big MOC! I did a parts list of what I need the other day. Roof parts and stickers made the list. Granted those were on the very bottom of the list, but on the list either way, it's close to being finished. Once again I don't see us not been done by the end of the year. I probably will be ordering the custom tiles this week. Those can take up to three weeks to be delivered, so I will order those soon so I'm not waiting on them!

Nothing special here, just doing the flooring. So many tiles the bag broke open!
